Sarah Styles
Head of Female engagement, Cricket Australia

It can still surprise some, when they hear cricket has the aspiration to be Australia's leading sport for women and girls. After all, this is 'the gentlemen's game'! Women don't play cricket..! Don't you know women don't really like sport...? And while it is true that there are gender-based variances in almost every tracked metric in Australian Cricket, this gap is of our own creation - and has been a century in the making. Closing that gap? Our sport, and that of many others, biggest growth opportunity.

Sarah Styles is the Head of Female Engagement for Cricket Australia, and is responsible for driving the greater involvement and inclusion of women and girls as players, athletes, fans and employees. Significant progress is already being made, most notably the transformation and professionalisation of women's elite cricket, rapid increases in the number of women and girls playing cricket, and the KFC Big Bash League's gender-balanced crowds. In addition, each major initiative is being matched by countless seen and unseen changes to ensure cricket is genuinely 'A Sport For All'.

Prior to joining Cricket Australia, Sarah's background was in investment banking and corporate advisory roles, largely with Macquarie, before joining Medibank ahead of its IPO. An unexpected offer led to her making the move to Jolimont in late 2014, stepping into the newly created Head of Female Engagement role. With her husband, former golf professional Ben Styles, Sarah is also the owner of industry disruptor X-Golf, the largest network of golf simulation centres in Australia and New Zealand.

Jules Lund
Founder, TRIBE

After 15 years hosting some of the biggest TV and radio shows in Australia, Jules Lund swapped celebrity life for Silicon Valley, successfully founding one of the world's fastest-growing influencer marketplaces. A captivating and charismatic media personality and speaker, Jules Lund is now leading the conversation around Influencer Marketing on a global scale.

Launching TRIBE in Australia in September 2015, Jules' vision was to create a self-serve platform that connected brands with everyday content creators. Innovators of the influencer marketing industry, TRIBE have tapped into the power of word-of-mouth marketing by providing brands with premium user-generated content, authentic engagement and unprecedented reach.

The company's phenomenal growth also facilitated the international expansion of the platform, with TRIBE launching in UK in March 2017.


Carmen Bekker
Partner, KPMG Customer, Brand & Marketing Advisory

Carmen has more than 20 years' experience servicing international brands in London, Europe and Australia. Prior to joining KPMG in November 2017, Carmen was Management Partner and European Marketing Director for flagship WPP agency, J Walter Thomson London, and prior to this Business Director at Saatchi & Saatchi in London and Sydney. She has developed transformational strategy and campaigns for major global brands such as Procter & Gamble, Toyota, Visa, Unilever, Nestle, Debenhams and Qatar Airways. Carmen also led the long-form broadcast content arm JWT Entertainment and worked on UK advertising industry best practice with the IPA in London.


Ross Fielding
Chief Executive Officer, RXP

Ross holds over 29 years of experience in information and communications technology, having played key roles in many substantial business transformation programmes throughout his career. Prior to taking on his role as chief executive officer of RXP, Ross was executive director for products and services at Telstra, responsible for driving innovation, development and implementation into the market. He has also held the position of chief information officer of Telstra's retail business division and executive director of mobile and is a former director of the Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association and current board member of Mnet Group Limited.


David Philips
Deloitte Partner

David brings over 15 years proven experience from a range of commercial disciplines including Organisational Strategy, Brand (custodianship and communication), General Management, Insights and Innovation within Australia and around the globe.

While his particular strength has seen him recognised as a leader in marketing strategy for consumer businesses, he has also led client and agency teams for Government, Education, Financial Services and Retail organisations, making him recognised now as one the region's leading marketing strategists.

Prior to joining Deloitte as a partner to establish the Creative, Brand and Media team, David headed the media and strategy function at McCann Melbourne – consistently one of Australia's leading creative agencies. David also has an MBA from Melbourne Business School.

With over 12 years' experience in digital media, Sarah is fiercely passionate about new technology and the opportunities it presents to revolutionise not only the way we do business, but how we live our day-to-day lives.

Jo Feeney
Marketing Director, McDonald's Australia

Jo Feeney is the Director of Marketing for McDonald's Australia, where she has responsibility for the management of key business platforms, marketing campaigns and tactical plans.

Jo joined McDonald's in 2013 and has over 17 years' experience in marketing and brand management.

Since starting her career as a Marketing Specialist at Woolworths New Zealand in 2001, she has worked across the entertainment, food and telecommunications industries in senior marketing roles for brands such as Telstra, Foxtel and Woolworths.

In her time with McDonald's she has been pivotal in the development and execution of key business platforms including the introduction of McCafé in Drive Thru and Create Your Taste.

With a passion for brand and marketing, Jo is highly driven, enabling her to deliver strong business results supporting the next stage of McDonald's growth in Australia.

Jo has a Bachelor of Hospitality (Marketing) from Griffith University (Queensland, Australia) and was a University Bursary at King's College (Auckland, New Zealand).


Leif Stromnes
Managing Director, Strategy & Innovation DDB Australia

Leif is a veteran of the strategic side of communications planning, having spent over 20 years in the discipline.

After graduating from the University of Natal in South Africa with a Masters Degree in Commerce, Leif worked at Ogilvy & Mather and TBWA before moving to DDB Sydney at the end of 1999. During his 18 years at DDB, Leif has worked across a variety of clients including McDonald's, Tourism Australia, Westpac and Telstra.

Leif was a founding member of the Australian Account Planning Group and the Australian Creative Planning Awards.

He lives on the beach in Sydney with his wife and two teenage daughters and most mornings can be found dodging the Manly ferry on his surfski.


Ben Dunn
Chief Marketing Officer, Daisee

Ben has extensive experience of building primarily digital businesses and brands across multiple markets and categories in large corporates, start-ups and consultancies. Ben has broad industry experience across Digital, Social Media Telecoms, Newspaper Publishing, Airlines - specialising in the Financial Services market where he has worked in a variety of marketing and strategy roles for NAB, ANZ, OFX, Friendster, Kantar Added Value, First Direct, HSBC, consistently exceeding targets and delivering projects ranging from overall business strategies to brand development, customer segmentation and the launch and management of digital propositions.


Paul Brooks
CEO, Carat Australia

With more than 20 years of experience across media agencies, Brooks is now at the helm of one of Australia's largest media agencies.

Previously the president of Dentsu Aegis Group's media investment arm, Amplify, Paul has a wealth of investment expertise and experience across a diverse range of clients and categories.


Pascal Bourgeat
Director of Behaviour Science, Ipsos

He works with clients and teams on behavioural issues around customers, consumers, patients, users of public services, etc. He has a post-graduate research degree in organisational behaviour (research in AI and decision making) and a PhD in consumer behaviour. His current focus is on behavioural Machine Learning at the interface of AI and behavioural science for the private and public sector. He writes an speaks on all things behaviour, especially in relation to technology.


Mark Frain
Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, MCN

Mark Frain is One of Australia's most respected sales executives, heading up all of MCN's National and State based sales and marketing functions.

Mark has been a driving force behind the redefinition of the television advertising model in Australia, overseeing the rollout of MCN's market leading trading platform LandMark and the world's first integrated programmatic private marketplace for TV. Mark has also led the conversation around the mindshift from a traditional television spend to an 'all video' media buy. Mark has diverse global experience across sales, strategic planning and commercial development. Prior to joining MCN, he worked on agency side and as a media strategist within the UK and Australian market.


Matt James
CEO, Publicis Media ANZ

Over the last 27 years, Matt has had the privilege of working and launching some of the world's most renowned super brands; Virgin, Apple, BMW, Microsoft, Sony, Wrigley's and Nissan Renault, to name but a few. His career has taken him across the world living and working in London, Paris & Sydney and operating extensively in over 40 markets around the world. Previously, Matt was Managing Director of Starcom UK as well as part of the global team at Starcom. He was also Managing Director of MGOMD UK, MEC UK and Managing Director of OMD International in London. He has also served extensively as a Global Media Director, operating across the world on brands such as Nissan, Renault, Microsoft and Unilever.

Matt came to Australia in early 2012 as Managing Director of Mi9 Media, overseeing the digital sales commercial operation for the joint venture between Microsoft and Nine Entertainment Co. After NEC's acquisition of Mi9, Matt became a Group Director of NEC Sales overseeing Powered and Strategy. Matt returned to the Publicis Groupe as CEO of ZenithOptimedia ANZ in 2015 and was appointed as CEO of Publicis Media ANZ in April 2016.


Tom Cronin
Founder, The Stillness Project

Tom Cronin is the founder of The Stillness Project, which is a global movement inspiring 1 billion people to meditate daily. After a successful 26 year career in finance as a broker, Tom felt compelled to share meditation with the world. Since then Tom has presented his calming, insightful talks far and wide, from Malaysia, USA, Mexico, Bali and Australia. He has taught thousands of people to meditate, hosted numerous retreats, has been on national TV, featured in national media from SMH, Vogue and Business Insider, worked with companies like CBA, Criteo, Finch Media, NovaFM, currently has 4 books published, and is producing a feature film and book called The Portal for global release in March 2019.


Michael Stephenson
Chief Sales Officer, Nine Network

Michael Stephenson was appointed as the Chief Sales Officer of Nine in March 2016, and is responsible for advertising revenue across all of Nines broadcast, streaming, on demand and digital publishing assets.

Prior to his current role he was the Director of Sales for the Nine Network and the Director of Sales for Ninemsn as well as holding a variety of roles at both the Seven Network and Network TEN during his 23 years in broadcast and digital sales.

Michael is a director of Think TV and OzTAM and holds a Bachelor Degree in Management (Marketing) from the University of South Australia.


Kurt Burnette
Event Director, Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games, and Chief Revenue Officer, Seven West Media

Seven West Media is a listed national multi-platform media business in Australia. It comprises Seven Television, the number one commercial TV network; Pacific Magazines, the nation's second largest magazine group by readership; as well as Western Australia's leading newspaper, The West Australian and associated WA regional newspapers and radio stations.


Kim Portrate

Under Kim Portrate's leadership, ThinkTV has become a fresh, positive, and passionate presence in the Australian marketing and advertising community in its first two years. ThinkTV's aim is to be a go-to destination for fact-based evidence on media effectiveness. After 20 months the evidence-led marketing, research and technology development company has produced new, independent research to show commercial, multi-platform TV remains the most effective platform for Australian advertisers and their agencies. This independent validation has been shared - using ThinkTVs distinct tone of voice - with Australia's marketing and media community through consistent and imaginative marketing, media relations and outreach work. ThinkTV also works behind the scenes to advance TV industry technology development, with its shareholders – Foxtel/MCN, Nine, Seven and TEN – and OzTAM to make TV easier to trade. Kim started as ThinkTV inaugural CEO in July 2016 following more than two decades' marketing experience in the packaged goods, telco, finance and tourism industries. She has also worked in both creative agencies and media agencies in the US and in Australia. She has led marketing projects and departments for companies as diverse as Unilever, Pepsi Cola, Optus, AMP and Tourism Australia. In 2015, Kim was recognized as one of the top 15 marketing officers in Australia by CMO magazine and following her appointment at ThinkTV was named in the AdNews Power 50 List in 2016 and 2017.


Claire Taylor

Claire's background is firmly in the agency world having lead communications strategy & planning for brands such as google, General Motors, Sony, Coca-Cola, Unilever, GSK, property guru. She has worked and lived in London, Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore and Sydney, and has a deep passion for consumer understanding and insight. As a business and industry leader, Claire was keen to help realise the incredible opportunity that deep tech offers to ad land. In 2017, she was proud to be selected from 7000 applicants to join Entrepreneur First's third cohort in Singapore. EF are one of the world's leading tech startup accelerator, who identify domain and tech experts and fast track them as pioneers in the space. As part of the cohort, Claire recently founded with Dr. Stephane Mangeon, an expert in Machine Learning and environmental data. uses AI to understand, predict and react to human behaviour/demands, giving marketeers the ultimate edge.
